Readily located on the eastern side of the downtown core and including popular area like Mount Pleasant and Commercial Drive is what is defined as East Vancouver.  The 2010 Olympic Games saw a massive rejuvenation of the area with significant upgrades to public infrastructure and architecture.  This has led to an increase in popularity for people moving into this area.  With great transit options and umlimited amenities, East Vancouver is a great place to live.

There are many amazing schools in the area and access to post secondary facilities like UBC and Simon Fraser provide opportunities for all residents.  You'll be amazed by the fine balance between business needs and the needs of the environment, East Vancouver has many parks and recreation facilities for its residents. 

Working downtown and buying in East Vancouver is becoming a more popular option for Vancouverites every day.  While East Vancouver is still quite vibrant, it is a bit of an escape from the downtown core.  As with most areas of the lower mainland you can find people of many ethnicities and various backgrounds in East Vancouver.
